Winnie T. Pooh contest...which quote do you like?

I need your HELP!

I just finished graphing and stitching a beloved quote from Winnie the Pooh. It just sort of reached out and "spoke to me" recently and suddenly it was done. Sometimes that happens! Here's the quote I already finished:

"If you live to be 100, I want to live to be 100 minus 1 day so I never have to live a day without you."

Now I'd like another "short" quote from Winnie T.P. to accompany it on a chartpak for 2017. But this bear and his adorable pals are so wise, I can't make up my mind. Wasn't Pooh indecisive, too?

**NOTE: I've already graphed perhaps the most famous Pooh quip of all. It's #156 Promise Me.

And oh my...this may be our best seller of all time.!!! We have reprinted #156 numerous times. We had no idea this sentiment was so beloved and versatile. Stitchers hang it in their offices, gift it for family, grads and caregivers, and the list goes on...just all sort of inspiring things to do with this design (like keep it for yourself!). When a design like this speaks to so many stitchers, this is what warms my heart and keeps me designing...truly. You never can underestimate the power of a talking bear.

But back to my current dilemma at Pooh Corner...

Voting will begin today and conclude on Friday, October 21 at 11:59 PM Central Time. Please, one ballot per email address only. Winners will be announced on Monday, October 24 on this blog.

Thanks for following our blog, and VOTING!  May the best bear win!!!

  1. The quotes about doing nothing made me smile. Often when I would ask my hard working late father what he was doing when he had some down time he'd say, "I'm doing nothing and doing it slowly."

  4. Hi, Linda! Good and Happy Monday to you! THANK YOU so very much for charting the upcoming Pooh sayings and let me not forget to mention that I am a self-proclaimed biggest CLASSIC POOH fan in the universe, CLASSIC POOH, that is! ... so these WINNIE THE POOH quotations, as first published in the books from the 1920's, are making me a very happy stitcher, indeed! I already have 'PROMISE ME' kitted up and ready to stitch in my stash! One last thing, please note that my dear ''friend with a head full of fluff'' will celebrate his 90th birthday on this Friday, October 14th ... three cheers for CLASSIC POOH! And, THANK YOU again for ALL your wonderful designs but especially these POOH quotes! NANCY ... I think you left off a significant quote and that one is ''IT IS SO MUCH FRIENDLIER WITH TWO!'' PLEASE consider charting that quote in the future ... it is one of MY favorites! <3 CLASSIC POOH :)

  18. Last week, I was walking down the street with my five year old son and we saw a red balloon on the side of the road. He looked at me and said "Mom, that must be the balloon that Winnie the pooh lost." I almost started crying. :)
